The Porsche 911 Turbo, also known internally as the 930, made automotive history in 1974. As the first production sports car with an exhaust gas turbocharger, it revolutionised the sports car scene. With a top speed of 260 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, it was far ahead of its time. The characteristic silhouette with the striking "Wallfisch" rear spoiler became a trademark and still characterises the design of the 911 series today.
